The 2 hour experience offers unparralelled viewing of this spectacular race. Not only will you witness the jostle at the starting line but our vessel also has the capabilities and the speed to follow the competitors out of the harbour and off the coast, into the open ocean. We will track south with the race leaders and follow them down the coastline past the world famous Bondi Beach possibly as far as Maroubra Beach.

Board our open top, 12 person vessel at Rose Bay Wharf at 8:30pm. We will then shoot over to Farm Cove for what is arguably the best vantage point to observe the early 9pm fireworks. In previous years we have managed to slide our way all the way to the front to snap up a completely unobstructed view of this magnificent show and this year will be no different.

We will be back at Rose Bay before 10pm.

Get a front row seat to the best New Years Eve fireworks in the world without having to camp out all day!

Board our new, open top, high speed vessel, Orca, at Rose Bay at 11:30pm. We will then cruise over to Lady Macquaries Chair for what is arguably the best vantage point to observe the midnight fireworks.

OSPREY is our new vessel in 2023. Departing Circular Quay at the same time as Extreme II, Osprey will head to Rose Bay to pick up passengers while Extreme II heads to Manly. Then the two boats will rendezvous offshore and work together to find the most active and approachable pods. Osprey is a similar size & can travel a similar speed to Extreme II but it has a roof, regular seating and a bit more room to move around. 

You’ll be taken on an exciting and unforgettable journey to see the whales in their natural habitat on a giant purpose-built, high speed, whale watching vessel.

Your high-speed whale watching boat transfers from Circular Quay to Rose Bay Wharf to pick you up before turning up the power and blasting towards the open ocean. After punching through the heads and into the Tasman Sea, you’re taken on a high-speed cruise out to see the whales – your skipper is in constant contact with other boat drivers to find the most friendly and approachable whale pods.

*On this vessel all passengers must be at least 6 years old.

Tour departs from the the Rose Bay Wharf located next to the Rose Bay Boat Ramp. Please arrive 15 minutes prior to the time listed on your confirmation and wait for the vessel to arrive. The time on the confirmation is the time the vessel will leave Rose Bay Wharf.
